Support Kharkiv Foundation
Support Kharkiv Foundation has been created by the London - based concert pianist and composer GéNIA, who was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, to support the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, its surrounding regions and its citizens, as the city has undergone destruction on a huge scale during the war in Ukraine. It is a micro-trust in aid of GivingWorks, a charity registered in England and Wales (charity registration No.1078770).
We couldn’t do our vital work without your support, it makes a huge difference, so thank you.
Patron
We are honoured to have the renowned British actor Chiwetel Ejiofor as the Official Patron of 'Support Kharkiv Foundation'.
News
Since the start of this year, we have been sponsoring ‘Mine Safety in the language of children’, an essential programme designed to educate the children from Kharkiv region on how to walk and play safely outside their homes in the newly de-occupied territories, where mines are still scattered all around, especially in the fields and woods. Our Campaign
Following the success of the organising a winter rehabilitation camp for children from Kharkiv and its region, GéNIA is currently working on organising a summer camp for Kharkiv kids with the same aim, together with the Ukrainian charity ‘Kharkiv with You’. Designed for children from Kharkiv and Kharkiv region, many of whom come from the newly freed territories, the camp is called ‘For the light, which overcame the darkness’ and is planned to provide ten days of rest and rehabilitation. It is the second year of the war in Ukraine, which is tough for all Ukrainians, but especially children, who need extra help to survive in these difficult living conditions. And the camp is going to offer them just that!
Our Events
Our next Fundraising Concert for Kharkiv Children will take place on 15th July 2023 at 7pm BST online. It is organised by the students of GéNIA’s Piano-Yoga® Studio. The funds collected will be sent to fund the Summer Rehabilitation Camp for Children of Kharkiv and its Regions.
