Support Kharkiv Foundation
Support Kharkiv Foundation has been created by the London - based concert pianist and composer GéNIA, who was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, to support the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, its surrounding regions and its citizens, as the city has undergone destruction on a huge scale during the war in Ukraine. It is a micro-trust in aid of GivingWorks, a charity registered in England and Wales (charity registration No.1078770).
We couldn’t do our vital work without your support, it makes a huge difference, so thank you.
We are honoured to have the renowned British actor Chiwetel Ejiofor as the Official Patron of 'Support Kharkiv Foundation'.
In November and December 2022, with the great help of GéNIA’s audience, as well as her fellow musicians and supporters, GéNIA raised just over £3,500. The funds went to finance a rehabilitation camp for children aged from 7 – 12 from Kharkiv and the newly freed territories.
Due to the constant shelling throughout the whole Kharkiv region by the Russian army, which continues even now, the energy infrastructure is constantly being damaged. As a result, children and other residents of the Kharkiv regions remain not only without electricity, but also without water and gas supplies. Generators of various sizes are needed to minimise the effects of the shelling and to support life. We are currently working together with the charity ‘Kharkiv with You’ to raise funds for the purchase of generators, to be installed in numerous heating hubs in the the cities and villages of the Kharkiv region, where families with children can come for food and warmth. These generators are also needed for medical clinics and water supply.
We are currently organising the next Fundraising Concert in support of the citizens of Kharkiv and its regions, as due to the constant shelling of the area by the Russian army, which continues even now, the energy infrastructure is constantly being damaged. The funds from the concert will go towards the purchase of generators to be installed in numerous heating hubs in the the cities and villages of the area, where families with children can come to keep warm and being taken care of. These generators are also needed for medical clinics and water pumping stations. Meanwhile, if you would like to support our cause, please click on the button below:
