Support Kharkiv Foundation
Support Kharkiv Foundation has been created by the London - based concert pianist and composer GéNIA, who was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, to support the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, its surrounding regions and its citizens, as the city has undergone destruction on a huge scale during the war in Ukraine. It is a micro-trust in aid of GivingWorks, a charity registered in England and Wales (charity registration No.1078770).
We couldn’t do our vital work without your support, it makes a huge difference, so thank you.
Patron
We are honoured to have the renowned British actor Chiwetel Ejiofor as the Official Patron of 'Support Kharkiv Foundation'.
News
In 2023 ‘Support Kharkiv Foundation’ co-sponsored two rehabilitation camps (winter and summer) for children from Kharkiv and its region. We have also co-sponsored the ‘First Competition For Students of the Kharkiv State Music Lyceum’, by awarding prizes to talented young musicians, who are studying so hard, and perfecting their craft, despite the terrors of the war.
In winter 2024 we sponsored the purchase of medical instruments enabling care for neck and head vessel injuries, facilitating groundbreaking operations at the Kharkiv medical institution for the first time in history.
Our Campaign
Currently, we're assisting in funding a programme aimed at introducing innovative surgeries in clinics across Kharkiv. Our goal is to support the integration of interventional neurology into the medical services available to civilians in the courageous city of Kharkiv, serving residents not only of Kharkiv itself but also those in neighbouring regions. Further information will soon be available on our website as part of a separate campaign.
Additionally, we remain committed to our work with children and are currently supporting a project to bring child therapists to work with kids. If you're interested in getting involved, whether as a therapist or through financial assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to us!
Our Events
As we gear up for new events in 2024, you can catch up on all our foundation's activities. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our supporters, including the Crouch End Festival, Talentbanq Music Agency, British Friends of Ukraine, GéNIA's dedicated audience, and Piano-Yoga® students, for their ongoing support and for organising events in aid of our cause.
If you're interested in hosting your own event to support our foundation, please reach out to us. We're eager to hear from you!
