Piano-Yoga® Students Winter Concert in Support of Kharkiv Children

We are delighted to announce that our next Piano-Yoga® students' concert will take the place on Saturday 17th December  at 7:00pm UK time online. With our students located all over the world - from the UK, France, Germany, Holland, Australia, USA - we shall donate all the proceeds to helping the children of Kharkiv and its regions, who are currently experiencing tremendous hardship.

Our founder, GéNIA, was born and educated in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and, therefore, we feel that whatever education GéNIA passes on to us, is deeply rooted in her Ukrainian heritage.

Not only  has Kharkiv has been under attack on an almost daily basis ever since the start of the war, but a large part of the Kharkiv region has been occupied for some time. Now, many territories have been freed, and their citizens, especially children, need our help.  We, at Piano-Yoga®, would like to help GéNIA's foundation. 

The programme includes works by Bach, Chopin, Rachmaninov, Schubert, Liszt , Gershwin, and GéNIA. GéNIA will open the evening with a talk about her foundation and the work she has been doing, and will finish the event with an online after-party. You are very welcome to join us not only for the concert, but also for the after-party, where you will be able to meet our students.

Dear Supporters!

We are very much looking forward to seeing you at our Fundraising concert!

As you probably know, I am currently raising funds to be sent to Kharkiv to provide children 7 - 12 years old (from Kharkiv and newly freed territories of the Kharkiv region) with a 10 day rehabilitation camp which will take place between 3 - 13 January 2023, where they will rest, whilst working with psychologists and teachers from Ukrainian State Institutes. The campaign is supported by the Ukrainian Government and Ukrainian Railways. You can read all about my campaign here.

Since my last update, the project has gained more sponsors. It's organised by the Ukrainian charity 'Kharkiv with You’, in collaboration with the Ukrainian Government and Ukrainian Railways. It is co-funded by the USA Government (USAID), Nova Ukraine Charity (USA), as well as my charity 'Support Kharkiv Foundation'. As a result of the new sponsorship, only 15 children out of 175 now require funding for this project.

Can you make a contribution towards proving an opportunity for 15 remaining children to restore their sense of normality through a proper rehabilitation programme, either through purchasing a ticket on this page or making a Government Gift-Aid supported donation via my fundraising campaign? 

I shall be very grateful and so do many families in Kharkiv and its region, especially if you also can spread the word about the concert!

The main funds from the Piano-Yoga® Student Winter Concert will  go towards the following project:

Currently, we are collecting funds to facilitate a rehabilitation camp for 7 - 12 year olds kids suffering from psychological stress, as many of them come from the newly freed territories.

Not only has Kharkiv has been under attack on an almost daily basis ever since the war started, but a large part of the Kharkiv region has been occupied for some time. Now, many territories have been freed, and their citizens, especially children, need our help. 

This project is created in partnership with the charity 'Kharkiv with You' as well as Ukrainian Railways. 

It is called "For the light, what overcame the darkness” and planned as ten days of rest for children with adventures, fun and activities based on the stratum method. The Plast National Scout Organization of Ukraine’s educators, also teachers of the Ukrainian Catholic University and Kharkiv National Pedagogical University, as well as child psychologists will be working with children.  

The camp is located in the western part of Ukraine, in a picturesque place in Transcarpathia, where inspiring landscapes also have a psychotherapeutic effect. We kindly ask you to help us give as many children as possible the opportunity to rest and receive adequate treatment.
